7.5.6 Greasing Procedure

ine and remove key from ignition before leaving operator’s seat for any reason. A child or even
apetcou
ld engage an idling machine.
The greasing points are ma rked on the m achine by
decals showing a grease gun and grease interval in hours
of operation.
Use the recommended lubricants specified in this manual.
See Section 7.4 Recommended Fluids and Lubricants,
page 110.
1. Wipe grease fitting with a clean cloth before greasing,
to avoid injecting dirt and grit.
2. Inject grease through fitting with grease gun until
grease o ve r flows fitting, except where noted.
3. Leave excess grease on fittingtokeepoutdirt.
4. Replace any loose or broken fittings immediately.
5. If fitting will not take grease, remove and clean
thoroughly. Also clean lubricant passageway. R eplace
fitting if neces sary.
