5.4 Driveshields

The R85 16-foot self-propelled header comes in two conﬁguration s—one conﬁgured for use in North America and

one co nﬁgured for use outside of North America. The conﬁguration is speciﬁed in the title when n ecessary.

WARNING

Do NOT operate the machine with the driveshields open. High speed rotating components may throw

debris and could result in death or serious injury.

5.4.1 Opening the Driveshield: North American Header

Follow these

steps to open the driveshield on North American header:

1. Release rubb

er latches (A).

2. Lift shield (

B).

Follow these s te ps to close the drive shield on North Am erica n header:

1. Lower shield (B) so that pins at lower end of shield

engage holes in lower panel.

2. Engage rubber latches (A).
